I know it's a bit late, but here is a summary of our Christmas in Kenya.

Church was quite an experience as they decided to have "one service", but since they were having one service it needed to be translated into Kiswahili, creating a 2 hour long sermon. It is safe to say that by the end of the sermon most people had dozed off for a bit.

After the sermon our family headed over to the Agape campus to experience Christmas for the boys.
In the bag they got for Christmas was: a T-Shirt, either a top or some marbles, and some candy.  In addition to the bags each boy received half a loaf of bread with their breakfast. Needless to say, they were pretty thrilled with their Christmas.

After the Agape visit we headed off to a village to experience a true "Kenyan Christmas".
The house in the village we ate at; a couple working at Agape built it by hand.
Some village kids ran over to see why all the "Mzungus" were there. We decided to tell them the Christmas story and give them some treats!
Smiling faces, on both gloves and kids. It's the little things that create happiness.
A traditional Kenyan Christmas dinner; ugali, chicken, coleslaw, rice, sukuma wiki, and a couple other random items.
After some singing and a couple more games we went home for the night.
Opened a stocking from some friends in CA and had a blast with the glowsticks. Thanks for the candy and stuff guys! :D

Overall we had quite the Christmas in and around Kisumu, Kenya! Hope your Christmases were great as well!

In Christ,
